Jag hörde så fula ord idag när Mullbergaskolan skull starta. Framförallt ett av dessa ord var inte alls roligt att höra, därför ska jag ta tillfället i akt och upplysa er om vad det kommer från och hur mycket det kan skada en person att höra det. Ordet i fråga var Mongo. Till att börja är Mongo en stad i Tchad och jag tror inte det var en stad Ossian menade. Sedan är Mongo även den största etniska gruppen i Kongo, i det fallet skulle Ossian tvingas säga Mongo från Kongo. Vad jag tror Ossian menade var Mongo som slangutryck för Mongoloid, alltså Downs syndrom men även beteckning för folk från Mongoliet vilka numera kallas mongoler och inte som förr mongoler, där suffixet “-oid”, vilket betecknar likhet; där mongoloid åter syftar på en människa med Downs syndrom. Själv föredrar jag ordet förståndsutmanad, vilket visar att man är medveten om de hinder en person med Downs syndrom står inför i vardagen.
Nu vet ni det så jag hoppas slippa höra liknande igen (gäller även dig Elias, jag har hört dig skrika åt James).
